I did learn some technical writing skills from my uni. Nothing I would consider worth the price, but I did learn some things I still carry with me. And, yes, I did need time to build a portfolio — and I could see how it would take, in some instances, too much time to do that without a degree.

Let me reiterate, I do believe college is worth it in some industries. I just don’t think it’s the right path for everyone (which seems to be the existing narrative). I wish we could bend that narrative. That’s all I’m saying.
