I think this is what I've had in mind the most lately. I'm able to consider myself FI right now with writing. However, I've been working in content writing for years now. What happens when I want to pursue something else next year and I have to start from 0. . . I want to get my passive income at a level where I can rely on it in those transition years. So that it allows me to switch pursuits whenever I want.

I know there is a simple solution in that I just have to transition slowly away from content writing rather than cold-turkey. Maybe I just like having financial goals to work toward. Who knows.
