Charlie, good piece. I tend to get frustrated with myself when I say no to those who ask for money. Most being strangers.

Still, one of my goals of FI was to get to a point where sparing a few dollars here and there would be the norm. Now that I'm there, I tend to say 'no' upon request.

I've realized my money can go a lot further if given in the right situation. Whatever that means -- but I like to call it calculated giving.
